We are now looking for you who are passionate about our citizens and want to make a difference for those in need of social services. The main task is to investigate the right to financial assistance and to work together with the individual to expedite the process towards self-sufficiency. We have great confidence in the individual's own resources and abilities and have a solution-focused approach.

By investigating and following up, we believe we can achieve good results for the individual and our families. Our goal is for clients to reach self-sufficiency as quickly as possible, and in the meantime, we assess the right to financial assistance. You need to be a thorough investigator and be able to make decisions and feel secure in the role of case officer/social worker, where collaboration with other actors is a major part of the work.

In addition to investigating the right to financial assistance, tasks also include handling estates.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent, preferably with previous experience in working with authority in financial assistance. In the role of case officer/social worker, it is important that you are secure and stable in yourself, have good service skills, and a professional approach. Since relationship-building work is an important part of your tasks, you need to be clear in your communication and have a good ability to meet people based on their needs, often those living in vulnerable environments and difficult life situations. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the needs of the user/client.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You have good judgment, are structured, and have good collaboration skills.

It is important that you have the ability to see opportunities instead of obstacles, as well as patience and a positive outlook on life. You should also be flexible, resilient to stress, and have a good demeanor. You should be empathetic but maintain a professional attitude. You need to express yourself well in both speech and writing. It is desirable that you also have good knowledge of the work of social services.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in authority work and knowledge of legislation such as SOL, LVM, LVU. It is also advantageous if you speak Finnish.

Knowledge of MI, ASI, BBIC investigation methods is desirable but not a requirement.
